Anyway!
From the last episode it was just obviously introduction of characters, but not yet the actual content.
On first episode, Akita Nekogata already left a bad impression of himself to Naru during their encounter at the 'sofa'. Where Naru just wanted to be friends but Nekogata harshly tried to hide his joy by teasing her.
In results...she hated him.

It was revealed our Cheshire cat grinning boy Nekogata is a victim of bully, that's why he bullies Iruka to look like he is tough and does not need friends. He is betrayed and got himself absorbed by the Paradox Mansion because of the 'bullying' thing.
The worst part it was his Best friend's doing...! What an shitty guy!
Who would have thought a cute boy like him would play with Nekogata's loneliness?!
But either way Iruka Naru tried to reach his heart only to get trolled. (Although Iruka did not know it was a true story since lying is Nekogata's automatic response when feeling vulnerable) he was a slave of 'love'...to be loved.
His motto/quote is irony.
*shrugs*
The story not only focus on Nekogata but it is trying to set 'curiosity' by the Golden Book's strange message "The Truth of you will make you happy." Isn't that part of the title of this series...?
I mean, what exactly it's trying to convey nobody knows yet.
It could be the ff:
-Enchanted Magical Spell when read?
-Maybe the writer of it's book? But they say it's blank pages.
-Something like dying message or secret code to unlock something?
Well, well, we need more episodes to find out!
Let's also point out the weird behavior of Inoue when he was 'appreciated' by our heroine.
Also it's funny that Iruka really does have to be kissed by every single guy. GOSH.
Do you guy's think Nekogata and Iruka had more chemistry than Inoue X Iruka? Who is even the real main male protagonist???
